Let go daughter!
All that you wanted him to be seek that in Me. The love you wanted, I have it. The protection you needed, I got it. The validation you seek, I got it. Your father was just a vessel. He can oppress you no more, unless you let him. I know it doesn't seem like it but I was always there: loving you, protecting you, validating you.
I was with the teacher who spoke highly of you and mentored you. I was with the church leaders who guided you and taught you. I was the voice drawing you and wouldn't let you drift away. I am the one who protected you from the trap your "friends" set for you. I am the reason you couldn't fit in.
Lord, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their hearts. You will cause Your ear to hear. To do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may oppress no more. - Psalm 10:17-18
Stop dwelling on what happened and you will begin to see Me in what didn't happen. I am releasing you from the past: the pain, the regrets, the people and yes even the memories. Remember them no more. In Me you are a new creature, old things are passed away. Embrace your new beginning. Today is a new day. All you have to do is let go!
