Come Out of Hiding: You Are More Ready Than You Think
Share
There comes a moment when hiding stops being preparation and starts being disobedience.
The story of Esther is not just about a queen. It’s about positioning. Scripture tells us in Esther 4:14 that she was placed in the kingdom “for such a time as this.” That phrase carries weight. It implies intentionality. Purpose. Divine timing.
But before she was crowned, she was concealed.
Hidden seasons are not wasted seasons. They are refining seasons. Yet sometimes what begins as refinement turns into fear. We get comfortable in preparation. We stay in planning. We pray for clarity but avoid courage.
I’ve learned something about hiding. It can look spiritual. It can sound humble. But often, it’s fear dressed in patience.
After my health shifted, I felt the temptation to shrink. To move quietly. To not step too boldly. Trauma can make you cautious in ways that feel wise. But wisdom does not eliminate obedience.
There is a difference between being prepared and postponing.
Ephesians 1:11 reminds us that we were chosen and predestined according to God’s purpose. Chosen is not accidental language. It means you were selected with intention.
So if you’ve been telling yourself:
“I just need more time.”
“I’m not ready yet.”
“I’ll wait until I feel confident.”
Pause.
Readiness does not always feel loud.
Sometimes it feels steady.
You may not feel crowned yet.
But you are already chosen.
Stop shrinking in rooms you prayed for.
